The Natural Gas Group is an independent Texas oil & gas company that purchases oil and gas leases through the power of major oil and gas companies and funded independent operators interested in certain areas.  We also represent hundreds of mineral estates and older operators seeking new operators to execute deeper leases in areas held by production.  We also handle private placement investments for individuals experienced in the oil and gas market and perhaps looking for tax benefits with investigated oil & gas projects. Although the oil & gas industry is known for its risky natured business and all oil and gas investments are considered high risk, Natural Gas Group only works in developed oil & gas fields that have been proven and are actively producing. We try through diligent work and consulting with credible expert Geologists, Lawyers, Landmen, and Operators to maintain the lowest amount of risk possible for our clients and for ourselves.

Right now we are primarily working in the North Texas gas field known as the Barnett Shale. We represent farmers and mineral estate owners that wish to offer oil and gas lease opportunities to established oil and gas operators.  We operate independently and with the several other key major players in the barnett shale.  If we are not interested in your area - We can refer your acreage to a company that is possibly ready to drill your area.  We are able to investigate minerals and production in every area of Texas. Today the drilling community is heavily funded to purchase any lease at any reasonable price and net revenue.  

(Abo Field, Fort Worth Basin, Permian Basin, and Delaware Basin) The Barnett Shale is a source bed rock for natural gas.  The "primary zone" exists between Denton, Decatur, and Fort Worth Texas. This area in Texas was under the ocean at three different times spread out by 100 million years, each time creating a coral reef bed which we now call the Barnett Shale.  Bacteria are known to live in this shale eating away the organic composition left by the coral reef beds.  During the consumption process the bacteria excrete and produce natural gas.  The Barnett Shale is among the top gas fields onshore in the United States. There are major gas companies like Carrizo, Devon Energy, Dedica, Dvorin, Lonestar Natural Gas, EOG, Star of Texas, TEMA, TRINITY, NESS, and Sanco along with small and medium independents developing this unique gas field. Our goal is not only to execute and fund the lease but to have it drilled on as soon as possible.   This is among the most active gas fields in the U.S. right now. The Texas Railroad Commission averages 100 + permits to oil & gas companies drilling here every month. 97% of these wells are completed successfully and go on to production.  We bring funded corporations together with credited warranty deed holders so that production can begin as soon as possible.  We also work out all of the location and environmental concerns that landowners may have and find the right operator for the size of the project.  Our goal is to produce not sit on land.  We prove this by short term leases and funded contracts that demand production from our operators.  We also have the ability to get rigs for operators in need of one or more.  www.sanco.us/rigs.htm 

The Barnett Shale is a 4,200 square mile region covering over 8 counties. In the Barnett there are approximately 1,900-2,200 successful wells either producing or waiting on pipelines. The reason for the tremendous success in the Barnett Shale is due to it being a blanket reservoir. If you are within the Barnett Shale and not trying to extend the field you should encounter the blanket formation. The Group has held large areas by production in the "primary zone" of the Barnett shale.
